President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the United Kingdom ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, at the meeting.
As the Presidency reports, recent political developments in the country were discussed, including the situation created by the Kosovo Parliament's non-compliance, as well as the bilateral reports between the two countries.
Osmani and Hargreaves stressed the importance of continuing close co-operation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom in areas of common interest, such as defence, rule of law and economic development.
“In this context, President Osmani stressed the importance of deepening the strategic partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom, especially in the area of defence and security, as a guarantee of peace and stability in the country and in the region”, the announcement said. Osmani has expressed gratitude for the continued support of the United Kingdom in strengthening Kosovo's democratic institutions, naming it a strategic partner. /Periscopi/
