The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, is honoured with the prestigious “medal Faithful and Meritorious Medal for Service to County” (Medal for Faithful Service and Merittor of the Country) by the Governor - General of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Dr. Rodney Williams, under authorization from King Charles III.
The head of the Antigua and Barbuda state said this top state medal has been split to President Osmani in recognition of its bold leadership, its extraordinary contribution to peace, democracy and the advancement of women's role in leadership, as well as its steadfast devotion to strengthening international relations.
In his special speech during the evening meal for senior officials of the participating states at the Women's Forum for Peace and Security, Governor Sir Rodney Williams named President Osmani “a inspiring example of contemporary leadership and a steadfast voice for justice and equality on the international scene”.
He stressed that “vision and integrity of President Osmani have crossed the boundaries of its state, touching the hearts and consciences of many people worldwide, especially women and girls”.
President Osmani described the decoration as an extraordinary honor for all Kosovo citizens.
This decoration is for my people, who have always stood with dignity and determination to defend freedom”, has declared President Osmani during the Medal's accession.
The official medal of the Faithful and Meritated Ministers of the Homeland represents one of Antigua and Barbuda's highest state decorations, given to personalities with special merits in their country's service and with notable impact on the advancement of universal values.
