“I noticed that the lynx was bleeding from the neck”: Alban Rashit relates how Bulnjak was killed in Banjska

Trial against the three accused in the “Banjska” case ) where Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed in September 2023 today is continuing with the session at the Foundation Court in Pristina.

We've just arrived at the village of Banjska on the bridge, we've noticed two trucks, heavy weight, which have blocked or fixed the bridge, so they've been on parked bridge, parallel. We've been watching whether there's anything suspicious, we haven't seen people moving, our colleagues have tried to alert the commanding room immediately, but there's been a problem with the radio and we've seen the reason to go to a different position to communicate freely. We went down the main street, there was nothing suspicious, we contacted the commanding room and reported it to two suspicious trucks who had the bridge barricaded. We've been asked to return to the scene from the command chamber, and we've probably been asked to take photos, and we've immediately returned to the entrance of Banjska village. We parked the car about 100 feet from the trucks because there was too much light. We have been told from the command chamber that 2 units for assistance, units of Zvecan. We're out with colleagues Mirsad and Deliverance. Rashi further confessed the moment of Sergeant Bulnjak's murder and his wound.

He added that after the explosions, there were shots from dozens of positions toward them.

There was nothing suspicious but trucks and lighting, since it was much bigger than other days. The situation in the village has been almost absolute calm, which was not common at the time. I've been looking for a relief colleague to use thermal dykes to see if there's anything suspicious. Maybe when I left 3 or 4 meters from Africa Bulnjak, an unexpected explosion occurred on the left side. The blast was huge, the explosion too big. I've been trying to get into a protective position near a truck right away there's been another explosion. Before long we started shooting guns, when we started seeing that there were shots from the whole village, out of tens of positions with guns of different calibres, we started to turn the fire on my left side, but on my left side, I noticed that Sgt. Afrem Bunnjak has been left lying and bleeding from his neck and motionless and we've asked him to come up with a car to get the sergeant out of that place, he's headed for a different car and hit with different shells and they've made him a solider, say, he has continued.

Rashit says that terrorists were watching them through the lock while there were shots on both sides.

He says he fired at him, but stressed he's not sure if he hit him.

According to Rashi, there must be specific training for the use of weapons used. He stressed that everything was coordinated, so according to him, they were a well prepared group and it wasn't a common criminal group.
