“This is not the right time to start [with bridge building]. Remember, local elections are approaching these bridges serve politicians more than ordinary citizens. Every citizen of Mitrovica needs bridges, but we have no cultural centre, our school is in the container, we have many displaced persons, not just from the Albanian community. It has higher priorities, bridges must be built, but we have to go with priorities”, Sadiku tells Radio Free Europe.
He believes the central and local authorities had to consult with citizens before making the decision to build two bridges on Iber, as this is a <x0-> decision of great importance”.
According to him, building new bridges should be planned after the main bridge opened for circulation.
Members of the Serb community should understand that something like that would be in their interest, Sadiku says. /Periscope/
