According to Reuters, through a brief statement, NATO adopted a new higher goal for defence spending 5% of domestic production (PBB) by 2035 ʹ a response to Trump's demand and European fears that Russia poses an ever greater threat to their security after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
It becomes known that the 32 leaders adopted a final summit statement saying: “Aleates commit to investing 5% of GDP annually for essential defence needs, as well as for expenses related to defence and security by 2035, to ensure the fulfillment of our individual and collective obligations. ”
