The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore (MPJD) of the Republic of Kosovo has announced that, through the Embassy in Austria, it is in constant contact with Austrian authorities over the tragic event that took place today at a school in the town of Graz.
According to official information received by the Federal Criminal Police Office in Vienna (BKA), as a result of gunfire at school facilities, a total of 10 people -- six women and four males, including the alleged author of the attack, who allegedly committed suicide.
From the so-called data confirmed by Austrian police, there is only one foreign citizen originally from Poland among the victims, while others are Austrian citizens, the MPJD said.
Until this phase of the investigation, no citizens from Kosovo are reported either among the victims or among the injured” are reported in the MPJD report.
The MPJD points out, however, that unofficial sources have indicated that there could also be a minor victim of origin from Kosovo, identified with the initials L.B., born in Austria in 2010. This information has not yet been confirmed by official authorities.
