Taking into account the outbreak of the disease The PPR (The Book of sheep and goats) in several areas of Albania, we call for caution added by farmers to the border areas of the Republic of Kosovo.
To prevent the spread of the disease in our territory, we ask that:
• To avoid any direct contact of sheep and goats with animals coming from Albania's territory;
• Keep your animals monitored;
• Report immediately to the official veterinarian every suspicious sign of the disease (high fever, oral wound, nose, or flowing eye, general weakness);
• Do not allow other animals to be introduced into your flocks.
Implementation of these measures is essential for protecting your herds and preventing the spread of the disease in Kosovo. /Periscope/
