More than two months have passed since the blockade began in the Assembly, while no agreement has yet been reached to unblock the situation. Despite occasional efforts at dialogue, the institutional stalemate continues to undermine the adoption of laws and normal development of parliamentary work.
The opposition blames the badly managed process and lack of transparency, stressing that the country is facing serious consequences for democratic and economic functioning. Meanwhile, civil society and experts express concern that the blockade is undermining not only the functioning of institutions, but also international processes and internal stability.
In the absence of a concrete solution, it remains unclear when the Parliament will normally resume work. /Periscope.
