Mellon calls emergency meeting after Israeli attacks in Iran

At the same time, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tayan is holding an extraordinary meeting with ambassadors of countries in the region to assess the impact and possible consequences of the Israeli military operation.
The Italian Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to the region and has issued specific instructions to Italian citizens located in Gulf countries.
The Israeli attack, codenamed as “Am Kelavie” (“Luan”), included over 200 fighter aircraft and targeted the prevention of nuclear weapons development by Iran. According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), dozens of military locations and strategically important objects on Iranian territory have been hit.
