One of the disturbing problems is the departure of health professionals from the public system.
Lacks of medical professionals are being seen in the Anesthesiology Clinic, transmission Periscope.
The director of this clinic, Gazmend Spahija, has spoken on the matter.
According to him, 44 anesthesiologists are employed in the Clinic of Anesthesiology.
He says this number is small for the clinic because it needed about 105 anesthesiologists.
There's 44 anesthesiologists employed at the Anesthesiologist “There's a significant lack of anesthesiologists, in our clinic according to our total planning should be around 105 anesthesiologist”, Spahija says.
The director of this clinic has indicated that lack of anesthesiologists is the biggest challenge.
“The biggest challenge is the small number of anesthesiologists, the increased volume of jobs with the opening of new services even in units that previously did not require the assistance of anesthesiologist”, Spahija said.
He has shown what are the reasons doctors make until work is done.
The best wage offer several times up to seven times) in the private sector than at QKUU, and the slightest volume of work is postponed by anesthesiologists to release their jobs. Anesthesiologists-specialists mostly leave for the private sector in Kosovo. The lack of anesthesiologists is evident as we have to engage in 40 working units and manage three intensive units and in five units where emergency cases are conducted”, Spahija said of the frontonline.
On the other hand, the Oda of Kosovo Doctors indicates that during 2024, 109 doctors left the country, while in 2023, 167 doctors, in 2022, 163, and in 2021, 124 doctors left Kosovo.
