LDK asks Special Prosecutor for investigation into energy market manipulation

The engineer and economy expert from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Janina Ymer, has today submitted a formal request for investigation over allegations of manipulation of the electricity market through misuse of Kosovo's cross-border transmission capacities.

Ymer through a post on the social network Facebook said that apart from Special Prosecution, requests for investigations have also been submitted to the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRGE), Energy Community Secretariat, A CER, and national and international media have been reported.

It is important to note that the allegations in this case are not only for a case of corruption, but for a deliberate act of Serbia's economic war against Kosovo, carried out through entity related to Serbia as EFT and its partners. Cross-border capacity monopoly has made it difficult to import energy by bringing direct consequences to the extreme price increases, Kosovo's economic destabilisation, the deepening social crisis and the emptying of Kosovo through the”, Ymer has said.

According to her, unfortunately, suspicion is also that a Kosovo public institution Koko STT, as well as Z RRE, has enabled, knowingly or not, actions that have, as a final effect, caused the extortion of our citizens and the violation of national security in the Republic of Kosovo.
