This decision, if it continues to apply, will have grave consequences for the competitiveness of our products on European markets, putting citizens' welfare at risk and job safety for thousands of workers engaged in the production sector.
The current state of producers is extremely serious.
We urgently seek open and constructive dialogue with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and with the ERE to find sustainable solutions and in the function of our country's long-term economic development. In the face of this difficult situation, instead of facilitating and supporting policies for local producers, unfortunately we are facing decisions that seriously harm this strategic sector.
Import is growing daily in the Republic of Kosovo, replacing local production and damaging the country's economic balance.
The Kosovo Business League appeals for quick reflection and wise decisions supporting local production, economic growth and the overall welfare of our society.
