At the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the court hearing for Naim Mursel, Cocall and Granit Plava began Wednesday. Naim Murseli, Granit Plava, Cocall and Tom Dodaj are charged in the case of Liridona Ademiaj's murder on November 29, 2023, writes Time, broadcasting Periscope.
At the beginning of the hearing, the chairman of the court asked Ademij's father to release the hall, since she would also be a witness in case.
In the opening address, prosecutor Yavorka Perlinchevic has said the prosecution has supported suspicion in large numbers of evidence. She has said that besides the evidence offered, the statement of the family of Liridona Ademij will be important. As an important statement, he also mentioned the testimony of expert Naim Uka and other witnesses.
Meanwhile, Leutrim Syla, the Ademij family lawyer, has said the trial will answer all dilemmas raised while thanking Tom Dodane for admitting guilt.
At the same time, Leonard Ademiaj, the family representative, has said he stands in whole with the prosecutor's opening word and attorney Syla.
Teuta Zinipotok, Naim Mursel's lawyer, has said that the defense request was for Mursel to become a mental status examination, but that there was no response from the Prosecutor or Court.
One of the requests from the defense side and the one prior to the establishment of the indictment, was for defendant Naim Murseli to be sent to examine mental status, and for that request we have not received an answer from the prosecution and the Court. Is it possible to convey the course of judicial examinations, consult with his defenders in the reviews to be held on this penal-juridic case? We consider that when the provision of this test is achieved, which will make the group of experts near KKUK, the Kosovo Institute of Forenzic Psychiatry, and after examining the defendants, depending on the findings, continue about processing this issue. This process requires discretion and impartiality. The protective side does not require special treatment”, she said.
