Kosovo Democratic Party Chairman Memli Krasniqi has sharply criticised Vetevendosje Movement, saying it is holding the country hostage, which, although the first in the election, has lost its legitimacy to govern.
Krasniqi, during the speech given at the party's General Convention, reiterated that the PDK does not vote on any candidate for Parliament Speaker who has been part of the past government.
“We have stood with dignity and constructiveity in this period, putting civic and state interest above all. We have been determined to change the wrong direction in which Government has introduced the outgoing country through the creation of the new government with the opposition parties of the past, with Bedri Hamza prime minister. But just as firmly, we say today: we will not vote on any candidate for the Speaker of the Parliament who has been part of the past government, because we believe Kosovo cannot move forward with those who sent it back. We are not here to help recycling the most failed political chapter of our state. We are here to write a new chapter”, he said. /Periscope/
