The Owada title was given the title “Doctor Honoris Causa” by Pristina University for its academic contribution, as well as commitment to the field of international law and promotion of peace.
“Chairman Krasniqi highly praised the commitment of Professor Owada in the service of justice, naming it a remarkable personality of outstanding devotion in this field”, says the report, broadcasts Periscope.
Professor Owada has been chairman of the International Court of Justice in 2010, when this court found that Kosovo's declaration of independence does not conflict with international law.
