Along with over 4,000 soldiers of the Iowa National Guard and about 2,000 other US and Allied participants are participating in a realistic training for major combat operations.
This exercise tests willingness to face high-level threats.
” The 2nd Brigade of the 34th Infantry Division of the Iowa Army National Guard is currently conducting a strict exercise at the Joint Training Centre (JRTC) in Fort Johnson, Louisiana. This exercise offers a difficult and realistic environment to assess the brigade's ability to deploy, fight and win against a threat similar to a powerful opponent.
More than 4,000 Iowa National Guard soldiers are participating in this key training event, testing the willingness and effectiveness of combat, logistics, medical, engineering and air units in a large-scale war operations environment.
Soldiers from Iowa are not the only ones facing the challenges of JRTC and Fort Johnson. Almost 2,000 people from all over the US and Allied partners, including our partners from the Kosovo Security Force State Partnership Programme, are supporting this exercise, helping create a dynamic and comprehensive training environment.
To stay informed as JRTC 25-08 continues, follow 135th MPAD, 734th Regional Spport Group and 2nd Brigade of the 34th Infantry Division”.
