EU spokesman Anowar El Anoun announced this at a news conference Monday.
What I can say is that the meeting was called to the level of the chief negotiators, and that meeting with the Kosovo side is being held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi. The Serbian side is expected to arrive tomorrow. That's what we can actually say and we'll let you know if we have any more”, he declared.
This is the first meeting of chief negotiators from Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels since Peter Sorensen's appointment as special envoy for dialogue, instead of Miroslav Lajcak.
We remember that since September 2023 in Brussels there has been no round of political dialogue, but there have been only talks at the level of chief negotiators.
All this happened because of crises and tensions in northern Kosovo.
Kosovo and Serbia, with the European Union's mediation, in February 2023 have reached the basic agreement in Brussels, yet a month later, on March 18th, they have agreed to the annex of its implementation in Ohrid, North Macedonia. However, its implementation is still not seen on the horizon. /Periscope/
