According to local media, L.H. (38) from Kosovo he was arrested on suspicion that he caused fire in a building in that city, throwing a cigarette that caused fire shortly before he entered the interior, the Police Directorate reported.
After a fire broke out in a building in Ulcinj, Ulcinj Field, in the presence of a forensic expert from the field of fires, explosions and accident prevention, an investigation was conducted at the scene. On that occasion, it was suspected that the cause of the fire was the human factor. Taking further measures and actions within their jurisdiction, police administration officers suspected that L.H. (38) from Kosovo caused fire at this shopping centre by throwing a cigarette just before entering the interior, as a result of whose actions the fire” took place, police were quoted as saying, Telegrafi quoted.
“We note that by the triggering of this fire, a business subject has been caused material damage for about two million euros, while material damage has been caused to a physical person because there has been partial damage to his family home, worth about 20,000 euros, as well as material damage to a special car APU a concrete pump of a business subject, worth about 200,000 euros <x1, the statement said.
Due to extremely high temperatures and the dry period affecting the region, police called on all citizens to show responsibility and maximum care with the aim of preventing the outbreak of fires in open spaces. /Periscopi/
