This message has passed yesterday's address to Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, which dialogue has seen as the only way for EU membership.
“Normising relations with Serbia is a fundamental requirement. Single action cannot replace dialogue,” has said Kos before members of the European Parliament
At the Committee for Foreign Affairs session, it has stressed the European Commission's readiness to prepare an opinion on Kosovo's application for membership, Nacional reports, broadcasts Periscope.
Despite being submitted on 15 December 2022, the application has not yet been reviewed, prompting Kosovo to be the only country in the Western Balkans without candidate status.
In her address, Kos also called for quick formation of Kosovo's new institutions.
“A government and functional assembly are vital that Kosovo benefit from the EU Growth Plan,”, it has added.
Finally, repeating the EU's commitment to the Western Balkans, Kos has said that “dera remains open, but the key is to dialogue and functioning democracy. ”
