Koci: Serbia claims former police officer Arbnor Spahiu has been part of the sniper unit during events in Banjska

Lawyer Arianan Koci, committed by former Kosovo police family, Arbnor Spahiu, has reacted after the arrest and decision to arrest his client by Serbian authorities. Koci has expressed serious concern about the way the detention measure was justified, calling it uncontested. “The procedure is still ongoing. Now for [...]
“The procedure is still ongoing. Right now, we're in a legal battle to get Arbnor out of custody, because it really doesn't have anything to do with this case”, Koci has declared on RTK, broadcast. Periscope.
According to him, Arbnor Spahiu is accused of triple murder by Serbian authorities, according to Article 114 of Serbia's Penal Code, claiming he was part of a sniper unit during the events in the village of Banjska. But the lawyer rejects such claims as untrue.
The Arab was never sniper. He was a regular policeman and then a member of the special unit, but he left this position with a personal request for family reunion. His request was made in October 2022, and was approved in November of that year. He lives with his family in Germany”, Koci explained.
He stressed that the reasoning for the detention assignment is flawed, without concrete evidence and clear legal basis.
Koci also spoke of a statement saying that several witnesses in the case figures, but did not say if they are members of the Kosovo Police.
I've said that several police officers were mentioned, but I haven't confirmed whether they're part of the Kosovo Police or not. Other information I cannot provide at this stage, due to the sensitivity of the case”, he added.
In the village of Banjsk in September 2023, Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed by criminal-led terrorist group Milan Radojic.
Serbian authorities claim that Spahiu has participated in armed confrontation, though he has resigned from Kosovo Police a year before the event.
