Koci has said that Spahiu has not worked in the police for three years and lives in Germany. He added that Spahiu was questioned for the case “Banjska”.
Kosovo citizens are being detained and arrested in Serbia. Arbnor Spahiu, former Special Operations Unit member ( On June 7th, Serbian authorities at the Horgos border checkpoint have been detained and sent to the detention centre in Kanjiza. Although he has been no longer part of the Kosovo Police for three years and lives in Germany, he has been questioned for the “Banjska” case. I repeat: he wasn't working in the police at the time. This case is serious and is not isolated. ”
He has said the signal that the passage through Serbia is not without risks is clear.
A few days ago, a former police officer -- Aleksandar Vlajq -- has pleaded guilty to working for the Serbian secret service (BIA) and has been convicted of spying. This has proved that the Serbian BIA has acted within Kosovo's territory and within its security facilities. Arbnor's ban is looking like a direct response to this discovery. An attempt to intimidate, punish and create uncertainty especially for those who once served in Kosovo's security institutions. This is a clear signal for all Kosovo citizens: passage through Serbia is not without risks. You know, a few days ago, an ex-deputate was banned. After hours of interrogation, he was released. ”
Koci has said he's engaged in the defense of Arbnor Spahiu, until he's called on the MPJD's emergency response.
I'm committed to protecting Arbnor with all legal means. But that's not enough. I request urgent response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Liaison Office in Belgrade and all responsible institutions. Because today's silence moves Serbia to continue with other bans. And no Kosovo citizen should face such an injustice alone. I'm not leaving anyone alone with all my options and professional capacity. State culture, patriotism begins right there in protecting its citizens. All for one, one for all, must be our motto, without prejudice./Periscopi/
