Commander of the Regional East Command (RC-E), Colonel Peter Helzer, chaired the ceremony of transferring the RC-E Battalion to Camp “Novosell”, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Twigg officially handed command to the lieutenant colonel, Gregory O'Brien.
In KFOR's announcement it becomes known that during the entire deployment of Twig's lieutenant colonel, the battalion carried out more than 5,400 patrols, playing an important role in preserving a safe environment in line with KFOR's mandate.
Reflecting on his mandate, Lieutenant Colonel Twigg said: Our “Mission was clear: to build unity, promote confidence and ensure interoperability. ”
In his speech, Lieutenant Colonel O'Brien reaffirmed his battalion's commitment to the KFOR mission and expressed his determination to preserve peace, stability and security by following his predecessor's path.
