KEKAu announces linking over 360 power supply contracts

The Kosovo Energy Corporation has announced the opinion, with particular emphasis on commercial consumers, that it is fully engaged in meeting the legal obligations and decisions of the Energy Regulatory Office, to announce and facilitate consumers in connection with supply contracts, whether it is a provider of last opportunity, or [...]
According to data accepted by COSTT/ AAM, currently there are 662 commercial consumers (business), with a total of 5154 measuring points, which have not found new suppliers following the break of the contract by KESCO (such as FSHU).
“From the date 01.06.2025, all these consumers are being supplied with electricity from KEK as the FMF, in accordance with the legislation in force, which stipulates that the supply in this form can last the maximum 60 days, during which consumers should link contracts to a regular supplier on the open market” is said in KEK's announcement.
So far, KEK confirms that over 540 signature contracts have been submitted.
While, in total so far, over 360 consumer contracts have been signed, in some cases, a unique number has more than one contract.
“Vlen points out that because of the interest added by businesses, the situation is dynamic and in constant change, so KEK is in direct contact with consumers for information and assisting in contract binding fairly and legally” states KEK.
In addition to engagement in the quality of the FMF, KEK is also committed to linking commercial contracts with consumers who choose to supply directly to the free market.
So far, there are 16 commercial contracts finalised with different consumers, and this number is growing steadily.
