KEK announcement:
Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) wants to clarify the public opinion that, during the last meeting with business representatives from: Kosovo's Economic Oda (OEK), Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Enterprises, Business Alliance, Business Club and the Association of Producers Brenda OEK, has been stressed that KEK, in line with the Energy Regulatory Office's decision (ZRRE), has the legal obligation to supply consumers for a maximum period of up to 60 days as Last Options provider (FMF).
Under no KEK circumstances has stated that this supply will continue whether contracts like FMF are linked or not. It is clearly noted that it is a legal provision, not a long-term supply guarantee.
KEK has also announced business representatives that, according to the ZERE regulation and legislation in force, from the date 01.06.2025 has automatically begun providing energy to consumers who have not yet chosen suppliers on the free market and who from this date have been shut off by KESCO as FSHU.
Also, KEK has called for the co-operation of business representatives to call on their members for quick signing of contracts with KEK as FMF so that this important process for the energy sector can be developed successfully, without interruption and in line with the legal framework.
