The Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has said the Assembly should be constitutionalised through a political agreement.
The winning party has the right to propose the candidate for the Speaker of the Parliament, but that right is also the obligation to co-operate with other parliamentary groups constructively to ensure the necessary majority. This right under no circumstances can be used as an instrument to keep the Assembly blocked”, said in response.
KDI has said that the Constitutional Court, with the Act it published yesterday, made it clear that the vote for the election of the Speaker of the Parliament should be open.
The court also made it clear that the vote should be open, as it has always been at previous constitutional hearings. The order of the day set up in the Order should be respected with precision by the Chief of the session, while the Assembly has the obligation to complete the institution process within the 30-day” deadline.
According to this organisation, every day without functional institutions is a damage to the economy, democracy and civic trust.
Therefore, the time for responsibility is now. And political consensus is no longer a matter of will, but the need to get out of this” crisis is said in response.
Otherwise, parties have agreed to discontinue today's session so that it will continue after the meeting was invited by the incumbent prime minister, once VVA leader Albin Kurti, with other party leaders. /Periscope/
