Under the summer season and increasing the influx of citizens travelling from Kosovo to Albania, from July 1st 2025 will officially launch joint patrol between the State Police and the Kosovo Police on Albanian territory. This development comes after signing a Memorandum of Co-operation by State Police Director General Ilir Proda, and his Kosovo counterpart, Gazmend Hoxha.

The aim of this co-operation is to strengthen road safety, more efficient management of traffic in the main excises connecting the two countries, as well as preventing violations and road accidents during summer months”, the state police report said. /Periscope/
