The “Italian soldiers assigned to the NATO-led Regional Command (RC-W) mission KFOR has recently carried out independent patrols along the Administrative Border Line.
These patrols are part of the daily KFOR mission, which is focused on maintaining a safe and sustainable environment for all communities living in Kosovo. KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR works in close co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the European Union for Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responsible for”. /Periscope/
