Six of the soldiers killed have been identified as:

Deputy Officer Ronel Ben-Moshe, 20, from Rehovo.
Deputy Officer Neve Radia, 20, from Elyakhin.
Private Ronen Shapiro, 19, of Mazkeret Batya.
Private Shahar Manoav, 21, from Ashkelon.
Private Maayaan Baruch Pearlstein, 20, from Ashhar.
The name of the seventh soldier is expected to be made known in the next few hours.
They all served with the 605th Battle Engineering Battalion, reports Reuters, broadcast Periscope.
According to an initial IDF investigation, a Palestinian terror operative placed a bomb in the Puma-type armoured vehicle in which the soldiers were on the way to Khan Yunis, reports the times of Israel.
The blast caused a fire in the armoured vehicle, and efforts to extinguish it failed. All the soldiers inside the vehicle lost their lives in the fire. The remains of the burned vehicle were later withdrawn from Gaza.
In another incident in the Khan Yunis area, two battalion soldiers 605 were injured by fire from a rocket grenade (RPG), one in serious condition and the other easier. /Periscope/
