In a statement issued by the IDF, several <x0terrorists have been eliminated during these operations and weapons depots destroyed, as well as other items linked to Hamas.
IDF Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir visited the southern section of the Gaza Strip on 1 June and held an operational meeting. After this meeting, Zamir ordered a renewal of the degree of military operations, with a focus on expanding the war in the southern and northern part of Gaza. He stressed that the Israeli army will continue until the establishment of conditions that will enable the return of Israeli hostages and a decisive defeat of Hamas.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz also confirmed that he had ordered the continuation of the military offensive against Hamas' positions, despite peace negotiations, voicing the goal of destroying all of this militant group's infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. /Periscope/
