Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon said Israel's attack on Iran early Friday morning was a survival issue, CNN reports.
This was an act of national preservation. It was an action that only we took, not because we wanted to, but because we were not given any other option,” said Danon at a UN Security Council meeting Friday.
Danon claimed that Israel had discovered intelligence showing a plan for a future attack on Israel, headed by Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.
He said the attack would be a much more sophisticated “than that of October 7th. ”
“Plan was not just aspiring. He was operational and his implementation was approaching,” said Danon.
Therefore, he said, Israel “did it to ensure the lives of our people. ”/Periscope/
