Ali Shamkhan, Iran's top adviser to his supreme leader, Ajollah Khamenei, has died in hospital the day after Israel launched air strikes across the country, Iranian media reported.
Shamkhan had previously served as Iran's top national security official for a decade and had represented Iran in the negotiations of approaching Saudi Arabia, relieved by China.
