The Freedom Flotilla Coalition has said it wants to send aid to babies and medical equipment to residents of Gaza, and has repeated several times that there are no weapons on board.
Activists also aim to awareness the world of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The Madleen ship was launched from Sicily a week ago and is expected to reach the Gaza coast on Monday.
