The Israeli Army has confirmed that it has launched attacks on targets in Syria at night.
The rocket hit the Syrian government's weapons systems after Syria was fired towards Israel's occupied Golan, the IDF said.
Israeli media reported that the shooting was the first fired by Syria since an alliance of rebel groups overturned Bashar al-Assad's regime last December.
Syria's Foreign Ministry said the Israeli attack caused significant human and material loss “in the province of Derina, accusing Israel of worsening tensions in the region.
In a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said: “Syria has never been and will never be a threat to anyone in the region”, writes BBC, Periscope.
