However, there has not yet been any public admission from the individual considered the most powerful figure in the country: Supreme Leader Eiletah Ali Khamenei writes BBC.
The Supreme Leader usually has the final word for state affairs, and eyes inside and outside Iran remain focused on when he will comment on the ceasefire.
Khamenei is said to have fled his usual settlement in downtown Tehran and is now sheltered in a secure bunker, but this has not been confirmed by Iran.
It appeared for the last time on state television on June 18th in a pre-registered message in which US President Donald Trump's call for Tehran's “unconditional surrender”.
Although his official X accounts had been active before the ceasefire, he has not been seen in public since Israel's attack on Iran on 13 June, when another pre-registered message was broadcast after the attack.
Recent images showing it in a public environment date back to 11 June, during a meeting with members of the Iranian parliament. /Periscope/
