The sensitive Israeli documents received by Iran must soon be published, Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib said on state television today, describing it as a precious <x0-discovery” that will strengthen Tehran's offensive capabilities.
Iranian state media reported on Saturday that Iranian intelligence services had provided a large quantity of sensitive Israeli documents, which, according to the minister, relate to Israeli nuclear facilities, the country's ties with the US, Europe and other countries, as well as Israel's defence capabilities, Reuters reported.
As said by the agency, Israel has not yet commented on these charges.
It is not clear whether the way these documents were provided is linked to the alleged cyber attack on an Israeli nuclear research centre last year, which Tehran has discovered only now due to high tensions over his nuclear programme, Reuters reports.
It took a lot of time and security to make this discovery. The way the documents were taken will certainly remain confidential information, but they will soon be published”, Hatib stressed, adding that “would be a subsupposed” that is about thousands of documents.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in 2018 that Israeli agents fell into possession of a large archive of Iranian documents showing Tehran performing a greater number of nuclear activities than previously known. /Periscope/
