Kosovo Police Inquiry Department of Investigations has, respectively, accepted a tip/ankee through the Blue Line (the number of free phone 88,00033) by a citizen in Gjilan for overstepping police authorization during the use of force by several police officials.
According to the report, the event was reported to have occurred on June 18th 2025 in the evening hours in downtown Gjilan, following reporting a preliminary incident and following the police association of a citizen who claims to exceed police authorisations and mistreatment by two police officials.
“Rest is registered to IPK, and investigators are engaged by taking concrete investigative action, including watching video-inculating security cameras, identifying potential witnesses and so on. In the interest of the IPK investigation has recommended the suspension of two police officials (a sergeant and a police officer) while IPK investigators in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible is expected to take other investigative actions in this case to clarify the circumstances of this incident”, the report said.
