The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has indicated that today it has conducted a monitoring operation in the two main locations where the Serb community's activities were held in the case of the manifestation of “Vedovdan”, in Gracanica and Gazimestan.
The IPK monitoring teams have been present on the ground since early morning, and throughout the time they have closely observed the way public order management and implementation of the operational police plan.
“The IPK has not identified any inappropriate irregularities or behaviour by police officials. The general behaviour of police officials and management of the situation in general have been praised as professional and in line with standards of police conduct and human rights”, the report says.
“specifically, The IPK assesss the Kosovo Police operational plan, which has contributed to the preservation of public security and order throughout the manifesto”.
The IPK adds that it will continue to exercise its legal position independently and impartially, monitoring and investigating any possible illegal or non-professional actions of police officials, in the function of accountability, transparency and protection of citizens' rights in the Republic of Kosovo. /Periscopi/
