Increasing defence spending, British prime minister to meet with NATO chief

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will hold a face-to-face meeting with NATO chief Mark Rutte in London next week. The spokesman continued: “Ven to recognise the history of the United Kingdom in spending and in fact our contribution to NATO, both in terms of our spending and our abilities. ”
It is thought that Rutte is encouraging NATO members to pledge to spend 3.5% of GDP for the military and 1.5% for measures related to defence and security.
Starmer has so far said only that the country hopes to reach 3% for defence during the next Parliament, after reaching 2.5% by 2027. /Periscope/
