Under the operational plan “Forest Protection 2025”, the Kacanik police have identified an illegal logging case in the Sharr Mountains area around 21:30 this evening.
During patrols on the road to the village of Luboten, police units encountered a style of jeep with trailers loaded with illegal logging. Despite police calls for detention, the suspects disobeyed orders and followed the movement.
In an effort to avoid prosecution, they fired some of the cargo on a mountain road to prevent police prosecution, then set fire to the vehicles and fled in an unknown direction, reportedly at the police report.

At the scene, the commander of the Kachanik police station and units of the Unit for Fast Reaction (NJRSH) were included, while officials of the National Park “Sharri” were announced.
Currently, investigative action has been taken and is working on identifying the persons involved.

Ferizaj Regional Police, in collaboration with forest guards, are continuing with commitment to prevent illegal logging and sale.
