As reports the heat wave being dominated these days can negatively affect the health and welfare of citizens, especially vulnerable groups.
According to the ICHPK, prolonged periods of high temperatures during the day and night create accumulated stress in the body and increase the risk of disease or death from exposure to heat.
“The body's inability to regulate internal temperature and eliminate heat accumulated during these periods increases the risk of fatigue or heat shocks. The body's effort to cool down adds stress to the heart as well as kidney”, reports Periscope.
