Hoti has said that current and future investments will be negatively affected by lack of clarity in terms of power supply.
Following yesterday's KEK reports that some units are located in remont and some other units that had problems, Hoti said these are happening after tenders for renovation and maintenance are delayed for years.
Mudness is not only related to high and unpredictable prices, but also to the uncertainty of supply. No measure has been taken for years now. Blocks of the Kosova A thermal power plants and Kosovo B continue to fall from the system, as tenders for renovation and maintenance are delayed by” years.
The gas station of the Washington Agreement was canceled in 2021. The first tools for that purpose were designed for the battery project, but in the end they were completely lost because of the change in American policy priorities”.
Hoti said that access to the open energy market, without ensuring the pre-emptive conditions, seems to be devastating to many producers.
This will have consequences for employing thousands of workers and, in particular, will exacerbate the competitiveness of Kosovo producers in the domestic and external markets, further deepening Kosovo's trade deficit”. /Periscopi/
