He in the interview for Online Economy laid out the need for immediate intervention by responsible institutions, including the government and the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), to halt this growth that is seriously damaging the sector.
Based on what we have information that we are divided into seven regions, the electricity bills have taken on increased. We've reacted several times. Now we've joined all the Odas. Also, tourist hotel businesses from the pandemic have not been cleared enough. Even the state has not provided the help it needs to do. With this cost of electricity, there are hotel companies and tourists that are also on the verge of default”, Sogojevo said.
According to him, rising costs have become unaffordable for the sector that has not yet recovered from the loss of pandemic, while prices of basic products have increased significantly since 2021.
He added that for this reason the hotel is expected to cost its services.
Basic products from 2021 to today have been expensive. If we count the basic product taken on the market, I can say maybe it's over 100 percent, and that's how 100 percent services have to grow, but it's been preserved, kept on a small margin. But when we are now expensive with electricity and other things, he will still consider increasing the price of services. But not now the expensive service is too big to switch to the disadvantage that you could lose your 55x1> clientele, he said.
Sogojevo also expressed concern about the impact this situation could have on tourism development during the summer season.
This impacts markedly on tourism development. It affects those who claim to come during the summer. Even recently we have major moves outside Kosovo. Even the diaspora when they arrive is no longer the one that stays in complete rest. Plus, this is happening. We have to deal with something, but with a lot of difficulty. We seek out institutions, government, Z. The RRE to find a way or a way to get through this is at the expense of business”, he said. /Periscope
