The candidate for the head parliament of the Vetevendosje Movement has spoken about yesterday's Constitutional Court ruling.
She has again invited the opposition to reflect after yesterday's Constitutional Court decision. She also mentioned the secret vote that this court does not prevent.
Haxhiu has asked the deputies of this assembly to vote in secret, as according to her, the Constitutional Court Act does not prohibit this form of voting.
“If I as a candidate do not get at least 61 votes out of the candidate for Kosovo Assembly Speaker”, Haxhiu has said.
She at a media conference today said that since the first day that the constitutional session, the VV has witnessed the will and says she has fulfilled all obligations aimed at constitutionalising the Kosovo Assembly.
On April 19th, we made the nomination for the Speaker of the Parliament. All this time, we've heard the opposition's reasoning and their political statements but not based on the Constitutional Court's act of justice”
She has even cited reasons why the opposition, according to her, disagrees with the VV proposal for Kosovo Assembly leaders.
“said Mrs. Haxhiu was divisive and conflicting. For me, being speaker of the Parliament is not just an institutional task but is a belief that requires maturity, restraint and willingness to serve all MPs.”/Periscope/
