The government and BQC block loans for businesses, Sahin: It will be a blow to the entire country's economy

The “will be a blow to the entire producing economy, maid, trade, but also the family economy. So did the chairman of the Kosovar Business Alliance (AKB), Agim Sahin, in an interview for Periscope, as she spoke of the serious concern that Kosovo Government in co-operation with the Central Bank has blocked loans for businesses.

Sahin said that currently this information is not officially confirmed, but that businesses have raised concerns.

We don't have accurate information yet for such an action. If it's true, then the impacts will be too heavy for the economy and for the existence of businesses because no business can grow, it can develop without bank financial support, so I want it not to be true.

But when information comes through, unfortunately it always comes true. We still have it as information, businesses are concerned, are asking for such an action but we still have no answers from banks that this is true”, Sahin said.

Asked if they had contact with the Central Bank in this case, Sahin said that the next week we'd have a meeting to clarify this information flow because it would be a blow to the entire production, service, trade, and family economy, Sahin said.
