A 13-year-old boy crashed by a tram Saturday evening in Mannheim, Germany, as he was focusing on his phone and did not notice the vehicle approaching.
According to Bild report, the event occurred around 21:15 on Friedri Street ch-Ebert-Strege, near a train station. The boy, who had put headphones and was distracted on the phone, stopped by the tracks, not noticing the tram approaching the city center.
“Based in the current state of investigation, the boy was inconsiderate because he used the mobile phone and headphones at the same time,” said Mannheim police.
He ended up on the tracks and suffered serious injuries but is out of danger for life. Because of the accident, railway traffic was temporarily suspended in the area./Periscopi/
