Germany's former Foreign Minister, Joschka Fischer, has indicated the number of German Army soldiers is low.
Green politician told “Der Spiegel” that man should defend his freedom and, if necessary, even fight for it, follows Periscope.

Fischer acknowledged that, from today's perspective, his earlier stand against mandatory military service had been wrong.
Germany's Defence Minister Boris Pistorius had declared that a return to mandatory military service could be possible under certain conditions.
So far, the government plans to present a model originally based on voluntary engagement.
Meanwhile, the president of the German Armed Forces Association, Andre Wüstner, engages in the rapid implementation of a new mandatory military service.
He told German news agency dpa (Deutsche Presse-Agentur) that it would be irresponsible not to prepare for mandatory military service. /DW/
