The German Embassy in a response to Dukagjin has stressed that it expects Serbian authorities to investigate as soon as possible the credibility of the charges filed and to ensure that all legal standards are respected throughout the process.
We can confirm that the Kosovo Liaison Office in Belgrade has contacted the German Embassy in Belgrade on this issue. They're in touch for Mr. Spahiu. We expect Serbian authorities to investigate the credibility of the charges made against Mr. Spahiu and, of course, ensure that during this process all legal standards are respected”, they are said to respond.
Spahiu has been arrested on June 7th by Serbian authorities under suspicion of “serious murder”.
He has been assigned a month-long detention measure. /Periscope/
