The Emergency Management Agency has called on Kosovo citizens to show increased care during the summer season, which is marked by high temperatures and increased fire risks.
The AME points out that forest fires, fields, and open spaces cause great material damage, pollute air, destroy nature, and endanger the lives and security of citizens.
“Ven to be highlighted and tou became known that intentional fires, as well as those caused by negligence, are criminal acts that are sanctioned by law. Any person who causes fire, damaging public or private property, or endangering the lives of citizens and the environment, faces prosecution and punishment measures under legislation”, the report says.
AME reports citizens that if they encounter fire, they suspect intentional fires or observe smoke or flame in open areas to call for free emergency services at any time.
