“The EU is closely following the arrest of Arbnor Spahiu by Serbian authorities. We expect Serbian authorities to respect and ensure regular implementation of the legal procedure. ”
This response comes after Kosovo authorities' reactions to the manner of arresting Spahiu and uncertainty about its treatment in the ban. The EU recalls the obligation to respect fundamental rights and ensure a fair legal process, in line with fundamental European standards and values.
