Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, has voiced his support “for Iran's right to self-defense” in the conflict with Israel in the Middle East, sharply condemning Israeli attacks and international silence against them.
During a meeting of the Justice and Development Party Parliamentary Group ( The AK Party in Ankara, Erdogan said Iran has a legitimate and natural right to protect itself from Israel's “smuggling and state terrorism”. He sharply criticised the Israeli leadership, noting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah has also exceeded in his genocide crimes, including the dictator Hitler.
The Turkish president also stressed the passive role and silence of the United Nations Organisation and other international institutions, as well as states that do not react to violence. He warned that the blood of innocent civilians, including children and babies, is responsible not only for aggressors but also for those who remain silent before such violence.
Responding to concerns for regional stability, Erdogan suggested that Turkey is closely monitoring developments and is on full alert for the consequences Israeli attacks on Iran in the region. He added that Turkish authorities have made and are making preparations for every possible negative scenario.
